I was inspired by the sample on page 119 of the 2018-19 annual catalogue (available to download here) I found the colours quite unusual and had to have a go!
The inside which I forgot to film, but as you can see it is just two pieces of Whisper White to cover the linen thread and provide space for a sentiment if required (stamp before placing over the thread!)
Method to make the card
Measurements are in inches.
- Card base of Pool Party - 8¼ x 5⅞ scored and folded at 4⅛
- 2 x inside pieces of Whisper White 4 x 5¾
- Scraps of Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and Pool Party for the die cutting and punching.
- Stamp the long dots in Powder Pink and the large leaves in Pool Party
- Cut out your die cuts using the Big Shot™ and the scraps.
- Punch out a label on the Crumb Cake scrap
- Stamp 2 small flowers in Crumb Cake to give a tone on tone effect on the label and allow to dry.
- Go over the label with your embossing buddy
- Stamp the sentiment in Versamark and cover in White Embossing Powder, use your heat gun to emboss the sentiment.
- Adhere the die cut pieces to the card base.
- Wrap the Linen Thread a couple of times around the card base and secure on the back with tape (don't worry it will be covered by a piece of Whisper White.
- Attach the sentiment label to the card base using dimensionals and embellish with a few pearls.
